About the Event
The program commencing in late August contains 32 courses that will explore the entire history of Ireland. The geological history of Ireland will be followed by the social and economic history of Ireland since the end of the last ice age. This includes the available evidence for human habitation dating back 33,000 years ago right up to the present day. All the major events in Irish history will be explored in successive courses in chronological order.
Each course consists of four weekly lectures presented live on Zoom. Lectures are for one hour and are followed by a Q&A session. There is an option to take the courses based on recordings.
Students may enroll for those courses they wish to explore. They receive a copy of the PowerPoint presentation and some reference materials. Classes are recorded and are available to students who miss any class.
